Terms of Service

The agreement between your church and Dviidea Technologies when you use Church Manager.

Last updated: 9 October 2026
Plain-English summary: Your church owns its data, and we look after it for you. Only message people who have agreed to hear from your church. Check AI reports before acting on them. You can cancel at any time. We work hard to keep Church Manager running, but no online service can promise it will never go down.
1

Who we are and these terms

Dviidea Technologies ("Dviidea", "we", "us") is a software company based in Lagos, Nigeria. We operate Church Manager by Dviidea at church.dviidea.com.

These terms apply when a church or ministry ("your church", "you") creates an account or uses Church Manager. The person who registers confirms they have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of their church. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy form part of these terms.

2

The service

Church Manager helps churches keep member records, take attendance, coordinate follow-up and pastoral care, manage programmes and children's check-in, send messages, and produce reports.

  • The Free plan is available at no cost, with the limits shown on our pricing page.
  • Paid plans add higher limits and more features.
  • We improve Church Manager regularly. We may add, change, or retire features, and we will tell church admins in advance before removing a feature that a paid plan depends on.
3

Your account

  • Give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date.
  • Keep passwords private. You are responsible for activity under your church's account.
  • Church admins decide who else can sign in and what they can see. Your church is responsible for the people it gives access to.
  • Tell us straight away at info@dviidea.com if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.
4

Your church's data

Your church owns its data. Member records, attendance, follow-up notes and everything else your church enters belong to your church. We store and process it only to provide Church Manager, as described in our Privacy Policy. We never sell it.

Because your church controls this data, your church is responsible for:

  • Having a fair and lawful reason to record each person's details
  • Keeping records accurate, and correcting or deleting them when a person asks
  • Following the data protection laws that apply where your church is located

You can ask us for a copy of your church's data at any time.

5

Messaging

Church Manager can send email, SMS, and WhatsApp messages on your church's behalf. When you use these features:

  • Only message people who have agreed to hear from your church
  • Do not send spam, advertising for third parties, or anything unlawful or offensive
  • Respect anyone who asks to stop receiving messages

We may pause messaging for an account that is used to send spam or harmful content, so that delivery is not blocked for every other church.

6

AI reports

AI reports are written by an AI model from the records your church has entered. We check names and figures against your records, but reports can still contain mistakes or miss context that only your leaders know.

Treat AI reports as a guide, not a decision. Please review them before acting on them, especially before contacting a person about something a report says.

7

Plans and billing

  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, at the price shown when you subscribe.
  • Payments are processed by Paystack. We never see or store your card details.
  • If we change our prices, we will tell church admins at least 30 days before the change. A new price never applies to a period you have already paid for.
  • Cancellations and refunds follow our Refund Policy.
  • If a paid plan ends and is not renewed, your church moves to the Free plan and keeps its data.
8

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Church Manager for anything unlawful, or to harm, harass, or deceive anyone
  • Try to access another church's data or any part of the system you have not been given access to
  • Attempt to break, overload, copy, or reverse engineer Church Manager
  • Resell or give access to Church Manager to anyone outside your church without our written agreement
9

Availability

We work hard to keep Church Manager available and your data safe, including regular backups by our database provider. Like any online service, it may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, updates, or problems outside our control, such as internet or hosting outages. We do not promise that it will run without interruption.

10

Closing an account

  • You can stop using Church Manager at any time. To close your account and delete its data, contact us. Data is deleted as described in our Privacy Policy.
  • We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Where we can, we will warn the church admin first and give a chance to fix the problem.
11

Liability

Church Manager is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows:

  • We are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost income or lost opportunities
  • Our total responsibility for any claim is limited to the amount your church paid us in the 12 months before the claim

Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

12

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a disagreement arises, we will first try to resolve it with you directly. If that is not possible, it will be handled by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

13

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Church Manager grows. When we do, the date at the top of this page will change. For important changes, we will email church admins before they take effect. Continuing to use Church Manager after a change means your church accepts the updated terms.
